Here at Taylored Dental Care we see all sorts of patients, each with their own individual needs and challenges. Some patients are more challenging than others, but don’t worry, we promise not to judge you.
Here are some examples of the type of challenges some of our patients have faced.
Case Study Before
A relatively simple case, the patient had put up with some “ropey” looking crowns on her upper teeth for a long time and thought time had come to have them replaced.

Some crown and bridge work gave her the result she was after.

Here we have an example of an extra tooth. If you look there are 2 upper right (left on the picture) 2nd incisors, one of which was tucked behind her lower teeth. Mrs A.

Really didn’t like the appearance of it especially on photographs. A temporary veneer was fitted with no work on the tooth at all to ensure the patient was happy before we did anything irreversible. Once she OK’d the temporary phase we fitted a veneer to mask her extra tooth.

After referral for braces, this patient decided upon a “dentist” solution. I believe we could have achieved a much better result using braces but this treatment is not for everybody.

This patient was thrilled with the result we were able to give her as she had hated her smile for years and now she can’t stop smiling!

This patient was unhappy with a loose fitting upper denture and wanted an improvement in the appearance of his teeth including closing the gap at the front.

The denture was replaced and some veneers were placed to give a result he was very happy with.

Many root fillings, crowns and veneers were needed to sort out this 27 year old, who had a Coca Cola habit as a teenager. Its all very well making teeth look good, but it can be even more important to ensure long term stability.

Notice how much better the gums look around her lower front teeth. (The patient could not be persuaded to have slightly darker porcelain on her front teeth to match the other teeth, she wanted them as white as possible!)

This was a case with many patched up teeth. Some teeth had up to 5 fillings in them!

The teeth were not stable in their presenting condition so it was decided to crown all the upper teeth to prevent them breaking down any further.
